Woman claims she fell on loose rug at cinema

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was injured at a cinema.

Beth A. Orgeron filed a suit Jan. 4 against American Multi-Cinema Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 25, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the address of 1200 Elmwood Park Blvd. when she was caused to be injured when her foot became caught under a rug at the entrance of the cinema.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James E. Courtenay of The King Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
