A couple claims they were struck by taxi

NEW ORLEANS – A couple is seeking damages after they were struck by a taxi.

Donnie and Rhonda Langley filed a lawsuit Jan. 9 against Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance, D&M Automotive LLC, Mahvoudh El Ghaouth and Rotem Dahan in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was operating his 2012 Dodge Charger on Feb. 23, 2017 when the defendant, who was operating his 2013 Toyota SNA taxi, struck the plaintiff's car after running a red light.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Kelsey Leigh Zeitzer of Liska, Exnicious & Nungesser in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Henry Julien Jr.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-234.
