Pension fund is accused of breaching contract

NEW ORLEANS – An LLC is seeking damages after a pension and relief fund allegedly breached a contract.

SBN V FNBC LLC filed a lawsuit Dec. 8 against Firefighters' Pension and Relief Fund for the City of New Orleans in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages, claiming the defendant failed to perform contractual obligations and breached contract through failing to provide collateral as was agreed upon. The defendant failed to provide warning of their intention to breach contract.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney David F. Waguespack of Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2017-11764.
