A company completed repairs on cars and then were never paid

NEW ORLEANS – An equipment company claims it was never paid for work it completed.

Deep South Equipment Co. filed a lawsuit Jan. 8 against Jones Motor Group Inc., Hamre Equipment Co.. Inc, Patriot Brokerage Inc. and Ports America Shared Services Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place in 2016 and 2017 when the plaintiff was contracted to perform repairs on a number of cars. The lawsuit states the plaintiff completed all of the repairs to specification in a timely manner but was never paid.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Glenn L. Langley of Langley, Parks, horton & Maxwell LLC in Shreveport.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher Bruno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2017-11696.
