Woman claims she fell in Citi Trends store

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she tripped and fell on a clothing rack at a local Citi Trends store. 

Gladys Nichols filed a lawsuit on Dec. 19 against Citi Trends Inc. and Travelers Constitution State Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 20, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Citi Trends at 4800 Chef Menteur Highway when she was caused to trip and fall on a clothing rack that had been left in the middle of an aisle.

The defendants are accused of negligence..

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Brian King of The King Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.

Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 17-12165.
