Man sues hotel over temperature of hot water in shower

GRETNA – A man claims a hotel's water was too hot and resulted in him sustaining a physical injury.

Odolph Wright filed a suit Jan. 8 against Choice Hotel International Inc., dba LaQuinta Inn and Suites, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking sums due claiming that the defendant was negligent in the management of the LaQuinta in Jefferson Parish on Feb. 15, 2017. The plaintiff was caused injury when he turned the shower on and was burnt by the excessive temperature, causing him to fall backwards.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Daryl Gray of Gray Law Group LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
