Woman claims she was injured at casino when chair collapsed beneath her

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming she was injured when she fell on the ground while sitting on a chair.

Alcina Rodgers filed a suit Feb. 1 against Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc., Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., Jeffery D. Stephens, Gasser Chair Co. Inc., and the Cincinnati Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was caused injury when at the Boomtown Casino where she was injured when she sat on a chair that collapsed while she was sitting on it.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Patrick Kehoe Jr. in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 780216.
