GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that a light fixture fell on her while she was at work.
Olmara Obando Chavarria filed a suit on Feb. 1 against Feil Organization LLC, Lakeway Associates LLC, and Lakeway Associates II LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place at the Lakeway Center II at 3850 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. The plaintiff claims that she was sitting at her desk in the building when when a light fixture fell onto her head and neck.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Harry Forst of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
