Red Apple Chinese Cuisine patron seeks damages after alleged fall at the restaurant

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man alleges a Metairie restaurant's failure to maintain its floors caused him to fall.

Javaris Woods filed a suit Feb. 9 against LZLR LLC, doing business as Red Apple Chinese Cuisine, and Ri Lin in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at the defendant's property on Feb. 11, 2017, when he slipped and fell because of an unknown liquid substance on the floor. He alleges he sustained injuries to his neck, shoulder, back and body as a whole.

The defendant is alleged to have failed to warn customers of the condition, failed to maintain the floor and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott W. McQuaig in Metairie of McQuaig & Associates LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
