Woman claims she slipped and fell at Outback Steakhouse

GRETNA – A woman claims she was injured when she slipped and fell at in an Outback Steakhouse in Metairie.

Betty Baylor filed a suit March 2 against Bloomin' Brands Inc. and XYZ Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 22, 2017 when the plaintiff was a guest at the defendant's property. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to slip and fall due to an unknown substance that was left on the ground.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph R. McMahon III in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
