Coca-Cola worker alleges he fell into unmarked mechanic's pit

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish man claims that he fell into a mechanic's pit that was unmarked.

Robert Lomax filed a lawsuit March 2 against Transdev Services Inc. and ABC Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on April 10, 2017 when the plaintiff was working for Coca-Cola. The suit states that the plaintiff was delivering a vending machine when the plaintiff was caused to fall into a mechanic's pit at the defendant's property that was not clearly marked.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael W. Margiotta Jr. of The Law Offices of Wolff & Wolff in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
