Woman claims negligence in fall at Metairie Macy's

GRETNA – A woman claims that she tripped and fell at a Macy's in Metairie.

Elaine S. Vonhoven filed a suit March 3 against Macy's Store #693, Macy's Inc. and Macy Corporate Services in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence. 

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on March 6, 2017 when the plaintiff was caused to trip over a signed placed near the front doors and fall.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Richard Hobbs Barker IV APLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
