A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at Express Seafood Inc.

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a seafood shop.

Melissa Batiste filed a suit on March 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Express Seafood Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages, claiming that she was caused to slip and fall on liquid that allegedly had been left on the ground on the defendant's property on May 3.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre F. Gaudin in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
