NEW ORLEANS – A landlord and tenant are seeking damages, claiming they were never compensated for fire damages.
Charlotte Development LLC and Belladonna Day Spa filed a lawsuit March 6 against Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence and breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the defendant was negligent in failing to pay the plaintiffs for all of the damages suffered after a fire broke out at the insured building on March 7, 2016.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract and negligence.
The plaintiffs seek all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Kelly N. Caldwell in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Donald Johnson.
