Two individuals are seeking damages after they allegedly were injured on a dangerous staircase

GRETNA — Two individuals claim that they were injured on a dangerous staircase.

Sherry Call and Krista Russel filed a suit on March 23 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Illinois Street 2533 LLC, Jack Rabido and Hudson Insurance Company, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, Call was at the defendants' property on April 14 when a wooden staircase on the property allegedly failed to serve its purpose, which allegedly resulted in her being injured. Additionally, a similar incident happened when Russel allegedly used the same staircase on June 22.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by Matthew D. Hemmer of Morris Bart LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781940.
