A woman claims that she was injured at Colonial Oaks Living Center

GRETNA — An individual is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place at an assisted living center.

Carroll J. Hanner, individually and on behalf of the Estate of Kathleen R. Hanner, filed a suit on Feb. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Colonial Living Center LLC d/b/a Colonial Oaks, John Doe and ABC Insurance Company, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on March 1, 2017 when Kathleen R. Hanner allegedly was caused to fall from her wheelchair onto the ground, resulting in injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by P.M. Donovan of Donovan & Lawler APLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781102.
