Woman files lawsuit claiming her child was attacked by a dog

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after her minor child was attacked by a dog.

Mary Exposito, individually and on behalf of her minor child, filed a suit April 4 against Anthony Lawrence Williams, Favort & Shane, and 1st Lake Properties Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on May 11, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 2100 Sawmill Road in River Ridge. The plaintiff's child was allegedly caused injury when a violent bull mastiff attacked the plaintiff's child.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Bruce Betzer of the Law Office of Bruce C. Betzer in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright Jr.
