Louisiana State University claims that it is owed nearly $3,000 in tuition

GRETNA — A university is seeking more than $2,500 in tuition.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a suit on April 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Cecil Dwayne Branch, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking $2,747.47 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 782545.
