Mercier Realty & Investment Co. is seeking $60,000 for damages allegedly done to its property

NEW ORLEANS — A company claims that its property was damaged due to the negligence of several other companies.

Mercier Realty & Investment Co. filed a lawsuit on April 18 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against French Quarter Apartments Limited Partnership, AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp., the McDonnel Group LLC, United Restoration & Preservation Inc. and John C. Williams Architects LLC, alleging negligence

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages because the defendants allegedly damaged the roof of its property during a construction project. The plaintiff is seeking $60,000 in damages.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Peter A. Nass in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
