American Express claims account holder owes more than $26,000

GRETNA – American Express is seeking more than $26,000 in sums due.

American Express National Bank filed a suit April 23 against Richard Marr in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $26,962.26 plus interest, claiming that the defendant was negligent in paying the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright.
