Woman seeks damages after allegedly falling at Family Dollar Store

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a Family Dollar Store.

Darionna Moore filed a suit on April 30 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Family Dollar Stores of Louisiana Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 1, 2017 when she was at the Family Dollar Store at 11400 Jefferson Highway in River Ridge. The suit claims that the plaintiff was injured when she allegedly slipped and fell on an unknown substance that allegedly was left on the ground.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by DaShawn Hayes of the Hayes Law Firm PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 783280.
