A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she fell on a Spirit Airlines flight

GRETNA — A woman claims that she fell when boarding a Spirit Airlines flight.

Emily Ferguson filed a suit on May 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Spirit Airlines Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 10, 2017 when she was a passenger on one of the defendant's flights. The suit claims that the plaintiff was injured when she allegedly fell over an armrest. The plaintiff claims that she sustained injuries to her neck, right hip, right hand and lower extremities.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Danatus N. King of Danatus N. King & Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
