A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly fell at a Target store.

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly fell at a Target store.

Josephine McGinnis filed a suit on May 22 against Target Corporation of Minnesota in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 30 when she allegedly was on the defendant's premises. The suit claims that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a recently waxed floor.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph F. LaHatte III of LaHatte Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 784061.
