GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was injured in a hospital.
Mary Lou Doskey-Castro and Ricard Castro filed a suit July 3 against Jefferson Parish Hospital District No. 2, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana dba East Jefferson General Hospital alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on July 13, 2017 when the plaintiff was a patient of the East Jefferson General Hospital and was caused to trip and fall on a metal threshold. The plaintiff has suffered extensive damages due to the negligence of the defendant, according to the lawsuit.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gloria Lastra in Kenner.
