Tenant blames Wynhoven Apartments for fall

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a retirement complex.

Jo Ann Redmond Wade filed a lawsuit July 9 against Monsignor Wynhoven Apartment Inc. and Christopher Homes Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 9, 2017 when she was a tenant in the Wynhoven Apartments in New Orleans. Wade said there was a leak under her kitchen sink, and, when an employee of the defendant came to fix the leak, she skipped and fell on excess water that accumulated in the hallway.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. She is represented by Adam Lambert in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
