Lawsuit claims man's fingers were crushed in a Penske truck

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after reporting that his fingers were crushed in a truck.

Dominick Barbarin filed a suit July 17 against Penske Truck Leasing Co. LP, Penske Truck Leasing Corp., and Jane Doe in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, for an incident that took place on Dec. 30, 2017 when the plaintiff was at a Penske truck leasing location. When the defendant went to close the lift gate, the defendant reportedly smashed the plaintiff's fingers.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Venezia.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.
