GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages following an alleged fall at Lakeside Shopping Center.
Yvonne Bonnie Laker and husband Buddy Laker filed a lawsuit July 20 against Causeway LLC of Delaware and FEIL Organization LLC, both doing business as Lakeside Shopping Center, and ABC Insurance Corp. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 30, 2017 when Yvonne Laker tripped on a planter that was left in a dangerous and poorly lit portion of Lakeside's parking lot.
The Lakers are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by Gregory Noto of Noto Law Firm in Chalmette.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
