GRETNA – Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. is seeking more than $157,000 allegedly owed on a mortgage note.
Metropolitan Life Insurance filed a lawsuit July 24 in the 245h Judicial District Court. The mortgage note was taken out by Ronald Leblanc Sr., who died in 2017. The lawsuit was filed against the estate of Leblanc.
According to the claim, the estate owes $157,856.70 plus interest on the mortgage.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Rader Jackson of Jackson & McPherson LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
