State seeks educational debt of over $1,900

NEW ORLEANS – An individual is being sued for failed to pay over $1,900 to a educational institution.

The Louisiana Board of Supervisors filed a lawsuit July 23 against Khaliah Royale Allen in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid balance in the amount of $1,942.82 plus interest, alleging that the defendant was negligent in paying of the balance due.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7263.
