Customer blames Jo-Ann Stores, insurer for injuries from fall

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages after she was allegedly injured while entering a Jo-Ann store.

Lacy Arabie filed a lawsuit July 26 against Jo-Ann Stores LLC, GGS LLC and Kinsale Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Arabie is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 30, 2017. The suit claims the defendants were negligent in managing their property, causing Arabie to fall in a dangerous store entrance.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Jessica Hayes of Murray Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.
