Worker blames Woodward Design, Eagle Access for hoist accident

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was injured when a hoist failed on him while he was working at a construction site.

Jarrell Jones filed a lawsuit July 26 against Woodward Design + Build LLC, Eagle Access LLC and Eagle Scaffolding and Equipment Co. Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Jones is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 28, 2017 when the hoist he was in failed, causing him to sustain serious injuries.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney W. Jared Vincent of The Law Office of William S. Vincent Jr. in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin Giarrusso.
