Freeman's Tree Service sued by Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry

GRETNA – James P. Freeman, who owns Freeman's Tree Service, allegedly owes the state of Louisiana $7,750 plus interest.

The state of Louisiana, through the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, filed a lawsuit on Aug. 10 against James P. Freeman, who owns Freeman's Tree Service, in the 24th Judicial District Court. The plaintiff alleges sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account, in the balance of $7,750 plus interest, for a past due bill.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 786532.
