NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages for a trip and fall in a pizza restaurant.
Robert Blake filed a lawsuit Aug. 16 against Uptown Cafe LLC, dba Reginelli's Pizzeria, and State Farm Fire & Casualty Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 2, when the plaintiff was in the defendant's premises at 5961 Magazine St. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall on an unmarked step down, resulting in injuries.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Melvin Zeno.
