McDonald's injury prompts lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS –– A man is seeking damages for an injury received at a McDonald's.

David Gifford filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.against Coaxum Enterprises Inc dba McDonald's Restaurant #5336, CLB Investments LLC and ABC Insurance Company

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at the McDonald's at 3321 St. Charles Ave in New Orleans when the plaintiff was hit in the head by a light fixture.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Richard H. Barker IV of Richard, Hobbs & Barker IV in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
