GRETNA –– A car repair shop has taken more than a year to repair a man's car, a lawsuit claims.
Doug Havard filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against RPM Automotive Specialist LLC and its owner, Ruel Smith.
According to the complaint, the car repair company did not complete work on a Ford Mustang GT after Havard paid them more than $22,000. Havard accuses the defendants of breach of contract.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott Richards Samuel of Samuel & Coleman LLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
