Mother sues landlords over lead paint

NEW ORLEANS – A mother accuses her landlords of failing to disclose lead paint in a rented home.

Jazzlyn Ezeb, on behalf of her son, filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Anne S. Gros and Keith J. Gros.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff's son was exposed to lead poisoning while the family lived in a property owned by the defendants. The plaintiff alleges the defendants did not disclose the dangers before renting the place. The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney John A. Venezia of Venezia & Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
