GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages for a slip and fall in a Walmart.

Debbie McKinney filed a complaint on Sept. 10 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Louisiana LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 10, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the Walmart at 1501 Manhattan Blvd. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she was caused to slip and fall on the ground due to a dangerous substance.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott Decker of the Law Offices of Scott A. Decker LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
