Condominium association sued after placing lien on apartment

GRETNA – A property owner is suing the Villa D'Orleans Condominium Association, claiming that it wrongfully placed a lien on his apartment in Metairie.

Eric Cusimano filed a complaint on Sept. 4, in the 24th Judicial District Court, seeking damages, alleging the defendant improperly placed a condo lien on his property at 3030 Edenborn Ave., Suite 518, in Metairie, for the amount of $4,300. 

The charge allegedly is for leaving furniture in a dumpster, refusing to remove a shed, and for the cost of removing a shed borne by the association. The plaintiff denies the allegations brought against him by the defendant. The defendant is accused of breach of contract.


The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Eric J. Fulda in Amite.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
