University of Louisiana seeks over $5,700 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $5,700 in sums due.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of Louisiana at Lafayette filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against John P. Curran.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account in the balance of $5,755.95 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-9587.
