Man sues Jefferson Parish following alleged slip and fall

GRETNA –A man is seeking damages for a slip and fall outside of a gym.

Seane Jones filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Jefferson Parish, Jefferson parish Public Works and Maintenance.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident on Jan. 17 when the plaintiff was approaching the gym near the intersection of St. George Avenue and Jefferson Highway when he was caused to slip and fall on a puddle of frozen water.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gerald Hampton Jr of Jack and Harrison LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 788228.
