Whitney Bank seeks more than $130,000 on unpaid mortgage

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $130,000.

Whitney Bank filed a complaint on Oct. 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Emily A. Perone.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed of $130,642.41 plus interest on a mortgage.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a mortgage.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Daniel Reed of Seale, Smith, Zuber & Barnette LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 788413.
