GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, alleging she was injured in a hotel.
Cherrie Holton filed a complaint on Oct. 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against The Service Cos. Inc. of Florida, and Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., dba Boomtown Belle Casino Westbank and XYZ Corp.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place May 29 when the plaintiff was at the defendant's property and was caused to fall while on a shower chair in the bathroom after the chair broke.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Charles Ciaccio of Frank J. D'Amico Jr. in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
