Woman, minor children seek damages following car accident

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she and her minor children were injured in a car accident.

Davorah Johnson, et al, filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Surface Systems Inc., The Gray Insurance Co. of Louisiana, and John Doe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on July 13 when the plaintiff was at 1120 Manhattan Blvd in Harvey when the plaintiff's car was struck from behind, causing injury to the plaintiff and her two minor children. The suit states that the insurance company has failed to reimburse the plaintiff for the damages suffered to her vehicle.

The defendant is accused of negligence and recklessness.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert Pearson of Pearson & Mitchell LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789130.
