Disaster Recovery Unit seeks more than $51,000 from couple

NEW ORLEANS – The State of Louisiana is seeking more than $51,000.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Tiffani Beckham and Byron Beckham.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $51,637.84 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11065.
