LSU seeks over $3,700 on open account

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $3,700 from a past student.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Tijera Cage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off a balance. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $3,707.59 plus interest, claiming that the defendant did not pay for attending the institute in Spring 2016.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney Cates IV.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. us 18-11341.
