Delgado Community College seeks over $1,100 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $1,100 from a previous student.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Elroy Calloway.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $1,171.01 plus interest. The suit states the defendant attended the college in Spring 2015.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern Reese.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-11353.
