GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages following a slip and fall at a clinic.
Sylvia Jones filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ochsner Clinic Foundation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 7, 2017 when the plaintiff, Sylvia Jones, was at the defendant's property on South Cleaview. The suit claims the plaintiff was walking to her son's room when she was caused to slip and fall due to an allegedly dangerous situation regarding liquid that was left on the ground, rather than cleaning it up.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to remedy a situation.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by William Mura Jr. in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
