Man seeks damages for fall in a RaceTrac store

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages for a slip and fall in a RaceTrac.

Brandon Lee Jeffers filed a complaint on Nov. 5 in the 24th Judicial District Court against RaceTrac Petroleum Inc., dba RaceTrac, Jane Does and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging the plaintiff was in the RaceTrac located at 2330 O'Neal Lane in Baton Rouge when he was caused to slip and fall due to a dangerous condition in the defendant's property. The suit states the plaintiff was caused to slip on a slippery substance and sustained injuries from the fall.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to prevent an injury.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph Landry Jr. of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789204.
