University of New Orleans is seeking over $900 from former student who failed to pay for his education at the institution

GRETNA – A university is seeking over $1,000 from a former student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Nicholas J. Wimprine.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the plaintiff is seeking $978.50 plus interest of 33.33 percent. Despite amicable demand, the plaintiff alleges the defendant still owes the balance.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jessie Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 790216.
