Metairie Bank & Trust seeks damages after a car struck its drive-thru

GRETNA – A bank is seeking damages after a car struck its drive-thru.

Metairie Bank & Trust Co. filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Performance Food Group Inc., Terry Evans and ACE American Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 16, 2017, when the plaintiff's property at 701 Metairie Road was struck by a vehicle that the defendant was driving. The defendant allegedly failed to operate the vehicle safely and observe warnings.

The defendant is accused of negligence for failing to take the necessary precautions to prevent damage.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Fitzgerald Lee of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.
